"Spring Fling at the Zoo", June 5th. This special event for moms and kids at the Scovill Zoo was attended by our moms and some new moms and their children. We are following up with them. Approximately 45 people were there and a great time was had by all. The event included a zoo tour, lots of food, a devotional message by Don Estep and games and prizes! Praise the Lord!!
A brunch for new moms and others is in the making for either July or August.
Woman's Fall Retreat
Sept. 17-18
Our fall retreat at Lake Williamson Conference Center in Carlinvile, IL. is being planned. Registration will start this month. Look for information on the bulletin board and sign up. It's going to be a fun filled time along with a deepening of our walk with the Lord.

UPCOMING GOLF BENEFIT 2010 (Decatur Christian Education Foundation)
Riverside Go has expanded this year. In the effort to draw more golfers, we have decided to use the outreach to benefit Decatur Christian Education Foundation. The foundation helps DCS students with financial needs with a partial scholarship. The more money we raise the more children we will be able to help. If you are interested in playing, it is $100 per person or $350 per foursome. The date is Sept. 11, 2010 with an 8:30 am shotgun start. We also need sponsors for prizes, food and drink and general donations in exchange for advertising. Deadline for entry is Aug. 30, 2010. Please call the church office (875-7272) if you have any questions, want to be a sponsor or want to register.

Riverside Baptist Church is assisting the Christian ministry to the needy, "Ministry and More". Clothing and household items can be donated to the ministry's distribution site in Decatur. Call the church (875-7272) for more info.
HEARTSONG
"Heartsong" from Cedarville Univ. performed at Riverside on June 11th. We had a great time worshipping and singing with Heartsong last Thursday. This group of young people expressed its love for the Lord in an uplifting and inspirational way through music. They sang their hearts out to glorify God, and we were all united as one as we worshipped together. Please check out their website below. The team that performed at our church was the Orange team. If any churches are interested in inviting Heartsong to worship together, please contact them through their website.
